HappyFeet for Your School

Enrichment Classes Centered Around Growth and Development through Soccer

HOW IT WORKS

HappyFeet enrichment classes are constructed specifically for the rapidly developing imagination of preschoolers. Our coaches use adventures and fun games to teach not only soccer skills, but also social skills, creativity, gross-motor skills, strong character, and self-confidence. We developed our curriculum with top educational methods in mind, such as Montessori and Reggio Emilia, while focusing on important WA State Developmental Milestones.

Our 30-minute weekly classes easily fit into any school’s daily or weekly schedule. We offer both morning and afternoon times to accommodate all schedules. Our specific curriculum allows us to teach in any size space and can be done either outside or inside. We currently operate classes around outdoor playgrounds, classrooms, hallways, gyms, & more!

Our trained and educated coaches work with your school to integrate our program into your curriculum philosophy and school culture. We offer both parent pay, and school pay options, as well as the ability to customize our program to meet the needs of your school.

WHAT DOES A CLASS LOOK LIKE?

We use our Move of the Month and Big Idea of the Month to emphasize the skills we are teaching in our curriculum. Let’s use January as an example. During this month our Move of the Month is the Pull Back. This move works to promote balance by using the bottom of your foot to pull “Bob” behind you. We will then add to this as HappyFeeters grow to include using the move to turn around or to complete a pull back turn while dribbling.

Our Big Idea in January is Problem Solving. We will work with our HappyFeeters throughout the month to answer essential questions such as, “Have you ever had a problem to solve? How did you solve it?” During our adventures we will use the rule, “Stop and think!” as we work together to solve problems.

In an enrichment class adventure, our Moves and Big Ideas take many shapes and forms, however, an example might be during a farm adventure. As we look around to find the pigs, we notice that one is stuck in the mud! We will ask our HappyFeeters to “Stop and think!” How can we help the pig and solve the problem? What move might be helpful? We then will use our imaginary rope and “Bob” to pull the pig out by doing the pullback 2-3 times. Yay! We saved the pig!
